Accountant

Fusion Financial Group is a managerial accounting firm that is seeking to fill a full-time accounting position. You will work as part of a small collaborative team that is analytical and process oriented. We work with a wide variety of non-profit organizations and small businesses on accounting tasks in a fast paced work environment. At the end of the day our motivation is our clients success.

Job Description:

Accounting Oversight

  • Complete bank reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Responsible for processing monthly sales tax
  • Thorough month end review to ensure all daily tasks completed appropriately
  • Complete payroll review for the necessary clients
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of accounting entries

Annual 1099 and audit support

  • Serve as key liaison annual audits
  • Prepare audit schedules and support documentation
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Assist with 1099 process

Financial reporting and analysis

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement
  • Assist clients in understanding their financial position and support strategic decision-making through analysis

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Ability to develop annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with clients
  • Monitor budget performance and identify variances
  • Collaborate with client to ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational activities

Team Collaboration

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment with the support team
  • Encourage professional growth and skill development
  • Provide necessary training and guidance

Client Relations

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Participate in monthly/weekly client meetings
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships based on trust and reliability
  • Track internal time budgets for each client

People Skills:

  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are a must
  • Excellent communication and strong problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a high volume, deadline-oriented environment

Qualifications:

  • Full-time in-person position
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of proven work experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Outlook
