As a Sr. BI or Performance Analyst your primary role will be to support business operations, production process and improvement, develop reporting solutions, & lead generation performance (and develop innovative solutions through data analysis, metrics creation, and dashboard development). This role will help develop data structures and reporting systems to provide insight to business roadblocks, enable decision making and arrive at actionable business solutions. The candidate should have a combination of analytical skills, business acumen, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
What You'll Do Here
Analyze business operations, product creation process, process improvement initiatives and develop metrics to successfully measure performance.
Write SQL queries to extract data from various sources and pull together in tables to analyze.
Identify opportunities in the lean production process and define new KPIs to measure success.
Analyze data and develop metrics in partnership with the stakeholders to successfully measure performance & targets.
Have the ability to switch between multiple projects based on changing priorities.
Identify creative ways to integrate systems to describe an Order life cycle.
Lead performance conversations with business stakeholders.
Analyze manufacturing operation effectiveness and develop metrics to improve performance.
Analyze and transform raw performance data into actionable insights.
Coach analysts on data modeling and BI techniques.
Execute data infrastructure projects that deliver high quality, automated reporting mechanisms out to all levels of the Operations and Leadership teams.
Create Power BI Self-Service Data models, reports and dashboards that communicate performance.
Develop and document specifications and standard work processes for data management within the Data Analytics team.
Explore manufacturing data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends to improve performance.
Research opportunities to continuously improve and optimize data model performance.
Collaborate with cross functional departments to integrate enterprise strategy into the performance analysis.
The Education And Skills You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics/Finance or similar field.
4+ years of experience working within business intelligence or analytics teams.
4+ years of writing SQL queries for data gathering and analysis.
4+ years of Hands-on experience working with PowerBI (ability to create data models and report creation)
Experience in extracting data and reports in distributed, cloud SQL databases such as AWS Redshift, Single Store.
Experience analyzing structured and semi-structured data across data warehouses, operational databases, and data lakes.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, look-up formulas) and Powerpoint.
Knowledge in Manufacturing Operations industry is a big plus
Strong attention to detail; highly accurate and thorough in all tasks
Experience in working in team-oriented, collaborative and cross-functional setting
Strong time management skills to deliver high quality work for multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Ability to draw conclusions/insights and translate those findings to develop recommendations for leadership action
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong learning capability to adapt to ever changing technologies and techniques.
Experience using JIRA system for project &task tracking.
Experience using GitHub.
Ability to make decisions and work independently.
Understanding and experience with retail and production business analysis and processes
