Find your future with us.Boeing Defense is currently looking for a Maintenance Plumber/Pipefitter in Ridley Park, PA to join their team.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plan, layout, install, test, and repair steam, air, gas, water, oil, gasoline, hydraulic, fire lines, and sanitary plumbing systems in an industrial plant. Use blueprints, sketches, specifications, knowledge of state, municipal, insurance plumbing codes to determine pipe routing, sequence or operations location of such plumbing fixtures and fittings as valves, meters, hanger inlets and outlets. Ability to braise and solder pipes. Prepare materials list of kind, size, amount of pipe and fillings and working sketch, mark lines and points on walls, floors, ceilings or in open areas to locate pipe routs and fittings, make excess openings; install work; and repair openings. Install, connect and wipe joints, test, repair such sanitary plumbing fixtures as urinals, toilets, wash basins, drinking fountains; such pressure systems as compressed air, steam, sprinkler, hydraulic, oil, gasoline and gas-fired equipment such as heat treating furnaces, processing tanks, and boilers. Diagnose trouble in systems and take corrective action, such as repairing and/or replacing, clogged sewer lines, steam equipment, water supply lines, and sprinklers. Perform work requiring knowledge of sanitary plumbing systems, their malfunctions and corrective action, pressure systems, steam equipment, water supply lines. Must have the ability to plan, lay out pipe routing according to state certified insurance codes, install sanitary plumbing fixtures, read and use blueprints, gas fired equipment. Give instruction to lower level employees and work closely with other crafts. Perform work in accordance with oral and written instructions from management and in conformance with company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practices. Plan, layout, install, test, and repair steam, air, gas, water, oil, gasoline, hydraulic, fire lines, and sanitary plumbing systems in an industrial plant. The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee Typical Education & Experience: Education is acquired through high school or trade/vocational training, or Apprenticeship. Basic Qualifications (Required): 3 or more years of experience installing waste, vent, or plumbing systems. 3 or more years of experience with facilities requirements, analysis, planning, design standards and specifications and building codes. Must be willing to work any shift. Additional Information: This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement.
