PURPOSE:

Oversees effective management of the volunteer program, including recruiting, onboarding, and follow-up. This position provides limited administrative support to the institution.

QUALIFICATIONS: Have 2 years of related experience in volunteer management, administration, or human resources; high school diploma or equivalency required. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication is required. Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Minnetrista’s culture is team-oriented and collaborative. Help others achieve the organization’s purpose through collaboration and teamwork. Carry out job function through completing the following essential duties directly or through subordinate personnel:

JOB DUTIES: Coordinate all activities of the Minnetrista Volunteer Program, including recruitment, placement and training staff in volunteer management; may assist in scheduling. Develop and implement recognition programs for volunteers. Organize recruitment opportunities with outside groups, including scheduling staff and attending job, intern, and volunteer fairs. Process and maintain accurate records, reports, and statistics for volunteers; set key performance metrics and goals. Support administrative functions of the organization, as needed. Perform all other duties required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary sedentary office environment with desk, computer phone, some physical files; remote work may be appropriate as facilitated through CEO. Must be able to move about 40-acre main campus.
