SUPPORT STAFF I (Spanish Speaking)

This position will function within the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center. We seek a compassionate and well-organized individual who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This position will be in direct contact with Spanish speaking patients to help determine their needs and appropriate referrals, as well as assist with interpreting for Patient Advocates. It offers an individual a rewarding opportunity to minister in a dynamic and growing evangelistic ministry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides patient advocacy care to patients
  • Interprets for Patient Advocates with Spanish speaking patients
  • Acts as a backup for in-person interpreter requests
  • Maintains relevant knowledge of resources to appropriate referrals
  • Maintains current and accurate patient data
  • Assists the front desk receptionist as needed
  • Assists with administrative duties needed for proper functioning of a medical office
  • May require working from one of multiple centers
  • Participates in staff development events and volunteer in-services
  • Participation by all staff is required at Life Network's major events
EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Spanish speaking required

  • Strong advocate for sanctity of life issues
  • Possesses Christian testimony with evidence of Christian maturity in personal and professional life
  • Active commitment in a local church
  • A passion for the ministry accomplished through Life Network and a heart for reaching the lost of our community/world with the Gospel
  • Teachable spirit and functions well in a team environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Possesses a high degree of professionalism and maturity
  • Self-motivated and attention to detail
  • Efficient, organized, and able to prioritize work
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and Internet savvy
  • Aptitude to learn software programs and systems
  • Flexible in unanticipated and unusual situations
CLASSIFICATION

Part-time at 16-24 hours per week. Pay range is $15.00 to $18.00. Reports to Pregnancy Center Director.

This position is eligible for paid time off, holiday pay, and retirement plan match. Scheduled hours may include evenings and Saturdays with flexibility to travel between locations.
