Job Description

The Public and Continuing Education Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the PE/CE program assigned to them, coordinating internally with other members of the PE/CE team, internal departments within TJS, and external faculty, consultants, and clients. Reporting to the Director of PE/CE, the Program Coordinator should carry out the directives, but also contribute ideas and solutions proactively and creatively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Principal supervision of teacher training seminars for continuing education and music fundamentals courses for public education. Other programs may be added at the discretion of the CPO and PE/CE Director.
  • Implement PE/CE strategies to develop and grow the TJS teacher training program market for different stakeholders (i.e., government agencies and public, international and bilingual schools) to achieve business development goals
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with existing and potential customers to identify and provide insightful analytical data and feedback to the curriculum development team to upgrade and develop teacher training programs.
  • Coordinate all aspects of these programs among various stakeholders, including, but not limited to, program and curriculum development, budgeting, scheduling, marketing, and staffing needs.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and adhering to operating budgets.
  • Coordinate the development of contracts, working closely with clients and the TJS legal team.
  • Identify external personnel needs and coordinate the hiring process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Contribute to written reports and presentations as requested.
  • Represent PE/CE in a variety of internal and external activities.
  • Support PE/CE colleagues in completing departmental tasks and responsibilities as necessary.

  • Bachelor's degree or above.

  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Native speaker of Chinese and fluent in English.
Experience
  • Passionate about education with 3 years of experience in business development.
  • Experience in teacher training or project management is an asset.
  • Experience in international organizations is preferred.
