Job Description: Residential Energy Analyst Ready to make a difference? To support our growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented candidate to support clients, and projects geared toward helping improve the energy efficiency of residential dwellings. This position involves working closely with energy efficiency programs that are geared towards delivering assistance to utility customers who meet income qualifications. As an Energy Analyst, you will work with cross functional teams and program partners to evaluate applications, assess health and safety, review residential building weatherization improvements, research and resolve eligibility discrepancies, and approve rebates. We design and implement programs that may include incentives, technical assistance, income-based rates, and other strategies. Your work will directly contribute to helping utilities and their customers improve the efficiency, resiliency, and safety of residential dwellings. What you will be doing: Work as part of the energy efficiency team ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility sponsored energy efficiency projects are successfully executed. Engage with program partners, community action agencies, trade allies and other industry representatives to resolve questions, and to help them navigate and complete the application process. Review project application forms and submittals by program partners, contractors, and other program participants in order to verify compliance with program policies and procedures. Support trend research, analysis, and reporting across program participants. Performing basic data scrubbing, analysis, and interpretation. Conduct desktop review and quality evaluation of internal, external, and client materials. Collaborate with program partners, community action agencies, and contractors as needed to provide technical assistance on energy efficiency, health and safety, and weatherization improvements. Review technical specifications, work orders, certificates of completion, and invoices for energy efficiency projects. Upload records into program database, and process applications for program incentive payments per established policies and procedures. Coordinate with or follow up on program quality control activities such as inspections, elevated technical evaluations, and program exception rulings as appropriate. Work with program leads to identify areas to automate and/or improve process flows and increase efficiency. Develop and update program reports and procedure documents. Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior program management team. What we need you to have (minimum qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental studies, energy resources, construction, business, or a similar discipline (applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education). 1+ years of professional work experience (e.g., energy efficiency, construction, administration, or related fields). What we would like you to have: Knowledge of, or experience in residential energy efficiency, weatherization, HVAC, residential construction, or similar trades. Experience analyzing and reporting trends. Professional Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across diverse teams. Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, recommend solutions, and possess long and short-term planning skills. Ability to prioritize, balance multiple tasks, and deliver work products under strict deadlines. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and contribute as a team player. Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients, program partners, and community action agencies. Flexibility and a strong work ethic.
