We are looking for an assistant who would be able to hold resident attention through well planned and educational programs in specialty fields. Must be able to work in fast paced environment. In this role you'll have the opportunity to plan events, excursions and daily programs as well as lead engaging opportunities for our residents to learn, grow and thrive. You might be familiar with the quote" Everyone is too old for something, but no one is too old for anything." Self starter, independent and problem solving skills are a must Program development encouraged, we are open to your great ideas

A degree in Therapeutic recreation or related field is NOT required for this position.

Part Time position 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every other weekend and a week day. 15 hours per week

NOT REQUIRED TO WORK MAJOR HOLIDAYS

Job Requirements
  • 2 years experience in preparing and implementing Activities preferred
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Degree in therapeutic recreation or related field a plus
  • experience in resident programing preferred
  • Passion for seniors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
