JGS Lifecare, located in the quaint town of Longmeadow, MA, has been the proud caretaker of the elderly within the local community for over 100 years Founded on the Jewish principle of respecting age as a blessing, we have dedicated ourselves to delivering the best in elder care services to people of every faith and every background. So as we enter our second century, we are excited to introduce a new range of services and updates to serve our life-long commitment to our community. Our spacious campus has a full-array of services including Skilled Nursing, Senior Living and Community programs that consist of traditional long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, memory care, assisted living, hospice and day health support services. Our employees are an outstanding team of professionals who go above-and-beyond each day with their compassionate care to our residents and the individuals we serve.
What's your day like?

As a new Life Enrichment Aide at JGS Lifecare, you can expect to assist in organizing and implementing activities that promote socialization, stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include facilitating group activities, assisting residents with various tasks, and contributing to a positive and engaging environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Life Enrichment team to ensure activities are tailored to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents. The schedule for this position would require you to work every other weekend, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

To excel as a Life Enrichment Aide at JGS Lifecare, possessing a CNA License is essential. In addition to this qualification, strong communication and interpersonal skills are key to effectively engage with residents and work collaboratively with the team. Creativity and adaptability are valuable traits that will help in planning and implementing engaging activities tailored to residents' preferences and needs.

Attention to detail and organizational skills will be beneficial in ensuring activities run smoothly and efficiently. Compassion, patience, and empathy are vital qualities to understand and address the diverse needs of our residents with respect and dignity. Having a positive attitude and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for others will contribute to a fulfilling and successful experience in this role.
