Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 1

This is an in-office role located at 5555 Cleveland Ave Columbus, Ohio.
The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 1 manages the day-to-day servicing lifecycle for all performing real estate loans, including mortgages, personal credit lines, and installment loans secured by real estate, in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Responsibilities include managing daily mail drops, mailing documents to customers, and other assigned tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Open Mail, Mail paid-in-full documents to customers, Hogan system to research on VIN#.
Prepare customer communication.
Manage workflow to ensure Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded.
Processing of work - mail sorting, check processing, data entry, document retrieval and review, account research.
Respond to both internal and external customer requests through written and verbal communication.
Assist in developing and maintaining department procedures.
Adhere to written policies and procedures and will be regularly audited to ensure compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One or more years’ experience in a customer service-related position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access -- Ability to create and edit basic Word and Excel documents.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
Prior customer service experience is helpful.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Demonstrated dependability (attendance).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment adhering to established SLA targets and quality requirements.
