Focus:

Establish and enforce accounting methods and policies, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.

Lead and manage the accounting department, including hiring and performance management, fostering a team dedicated to environmental responsibility.

Analyze financial data, generate reports on performance, cost variances, and budget tracking, emphasizing sustainability initiatives.

Monitor financial documents, oversee cash flow, purchase orders, invoicing, and inventory control, ensuring accurate records of environmentally responsible practices.

Collaborate with vendors, project managers, and internal teams, providing updates on financial performance and sustainability initiatives through documentation and reporting.

Identify financial risks and opportunities for improvement, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and optimize business outcomes while upholding sustainability goals.

Skill Set

:

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting leadership roles within environmentally conscious industries. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor accounting teams effectively.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance and CPA required. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards with a focus on sustainability reporting.

Proficient expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel. Experience with accounting software and financial management systems.

Superb time management skills and the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous deadlines effectively and efficiently.

Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business and contribute to decision-making processes with a focus on sustainability initiatives.
