Responsibilities

Provide quality design and support for utilities systems (compressed air, chilled water, steam, hot oil, process, and other mechanical) at Eastman sites Lead engineering studies and perform calculations/evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for mechanical utilities at manufacturing sites Develop mechanical designs and specifications that form the basis for placing purchase order for equipment and contracts for installation of the equipment and systems Recommend operating and maintenance practices for mechanical equipment Participate in commissioning of new and modified systems Perform fluid flow modeling and troubleshooting Develop and maintain utilities distribution models Manage projects effectively and efficiently Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned capital projects Provide consultation and guidance related to utilities, for operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel at Eastman sites Mentor and provide guidance for less experienced engineers Provide leadership and contribute to applicable engineering standards

Qualifications

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred 5+ years relevant professional experience in Mechanical Engineering preferred Familiar with relevant regulations, standards, and codes such as ASME, API, NFPA, ANSI, etc Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Travel Some periodic travel (domestic & international) may be required
