You will work closely with the other Generalists, Business Partners, and our Corporate team members to ensure that Cognoids across the organization are getting the best service from our team. This position is responsible for providing HR support to various engineering groups as well as other corporate functions. This role supports employees across various business units and US sites. Generalist responsibilities will include a variety of HR activities, including employee relations, talent development, compensation planning, recruiting, coaching, special projects, and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring that our unique culture is maintained as we continue to grow. Were looking for someone who isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done; someone who takes their work seriously but not themselves.Essential Functions:Primary point of contact for assigned groups regarding support to managers, employee relations, policy, process and supportParticipates in implementation and support of global HR programs and initiativesProactive contributor to the development of managers and employeesProvides recruitment and selection assistance for assigned groups and works with business leaders, hiring managers and HR staff to develop creative, cost effective recruitment strategiesWorks on special Human Resources projectsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be effective at all organizational levelsFocus on customer service and ability to maintain confidentiality are high priorityAble to quickly establish credibilityDemonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, teamoriented environment with a drive to achieve resultsAbility to effectively collaborate to organize and manage various projects and programsFlexible, supportive, and adaptive to changesDesire to explore creative alternatives to current HR practices to help build programs and processes that allow the company to scaleWorking knowledge of Employment Law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA and other aspects of employmentAdvanced knowledge of MS office suiteWorking knowledge of Workday is a plusMinimum education and work experience required:Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related fields is required3+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a fast paced, dynamic, high growth environment; preferably in the high-tech industryExperience supporting a remote customer base is preferred, but not necessaryAdditional Job Description Equal Employment OpportunityCognex is an equal opportunity employer.
