Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for an Interior Cockpit Engineer for our Superior Township, MI facility who will:
* Design and develop Interior Cockpit parts, and perform releasing duties for North American-based vehicle projects
* Develop innovative solutions to improve from a cost/mass, performance, and quality perspective
* Develop Engineering Concepts and see parts through to Mass Production
* Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results
* Recommend engineering improvements through assessing current designs and competitor benchmarking
* Use previous experience to help mentor and develop fellow engineers within the group
* Be responsible for generating and completing Advanced Development projects related to part- or system-level improvements for future vehicles

Engineers should be able to demonstrate:
* 5+ years of working knowledge of Interior Cockpit Components: Instrument Panel, Center Console, etc.
* Experience in cradle to grave product development best practices & processes
* Knowledge of US regulations
* Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly of Interior Cockpit components
* Experience utilizing Computer-Aided Design tools (capability in CATIA V5 ideal, but not required)
* Travel up to 15% of the time domestically and internationally
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
* 5+ years of experience required
* Valid Driver's License & satisfactory driving record
