Position Title: Lead Account Manager

Position Summary:

The Lead Account Manager (AM Lead) will act as a mentor to the other Account Manager(s) and Account Coordinator(s) resources on the team. The AM Lead will serve as the first line of escalation for operational questions or guidance. The AM Lead will be responsible for a portion of the overall team's requisition load and help the Program Manager with strategic tasks. The AM Lead will build strong, strategic partnerships with the client to better understand and deliver on Hiring Manager (HM) needs. The AM Lead will be consultative with the client hiring manager and vendors to solve unique scenarios in the staffing of contingent labor. The AM Lead is expected to have fluency in the Staff Augmentation and Statement of Work lifecycles, as applicable to their client. The AM Lead will mentor teammates and advise the Program Manager of teammate training needs. The AM Lead may be asked to contribute to Employee Performance Reviews and Performance Improvement Plans. This role may be eligible to participate in leadership training. This position will be engaged if the spend of the account(s) and/or scope warrants. Not every client/portfolio will require an AM Lead. 10-15% travel. *Additional responsibilities may apply depending on client and team needs.

Responsibilities

Relationship Management
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with the Account Managers and Account Coordinators on their team.
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with Hiring Managers and Business Line Leaders (Directors and above) within the client's organization.
  • Build strong relationships with Vendor partners.
  • Network within Monument Consulting Account Management and other departments
Service
  • Meets with the PM to deliver feedback on the team's operational performance
  • Meets with the PM to discuss strategic initiatives
  • Monitor requisition / position volume and support workload balancing among the team
  • Create and maintain program training materials, both internal and external
  • Support and participate in supplier performance management activities
  • Serves as a mentor for operational activities and requisition management best practices for the team that reports to them
  • Helps to create and present the Executive Business Reviews
  • Has a thorough understanding of the business landscape, seasonality, and global trends/events, and continually monitors changes in the marketplace
  • Meet with HMs to conduct intake briefings to refine and update resource needs in the VMS
  • Coordinate HM and Vendor intake sessions to ensure job descriptions and additional skills, soft skills, etc. have been well communicated within the VMS job description
  • Maintain a consistent feedback loop with the Hiring Manager to facilitate discussions on candidates, interviews, and selection for hire
  • Focus on continuous improvement of daily service and delivery to all end users (Client, Monument and Vendor)
  • Ensure client needs and performance requirements are met through following consistent, efficient, and effective processes
  • Responds to and resolves user issues (Client, Monument and Vendor)
  • Ensure compliance with client procurement policies, guidelines, and processes
  • Conduct client and vendor training on program requirements/processes
  • Complete work in a way as to support and exceed expected Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as applicable
  • Train HMs and Vendors on program utilization and policies
Vendor Partnership
  • Cultivate a solid working relationship with our vendor partners, creating an environment of shared trust and innovation leading Scorecard Reviews and Vendor Forums
  • Coordinate HM and Vendor calls to allow Vendors to ask HMs questions and get additional details for requisitions
  • Conduct Vendor user training on program rules of engagement
  • Negotiate with vendors as required
  • Conduct/Lead in Vendor Scorecard Sessions
  • Contribute to vendor rationalization strategies
  • Consult on worker audits and remediation with vendors
  • Initiate and complete onboarding, tracking, and documentation for new vendors utilizing the Program Manager or Program Director to resolve redlines

Qualifications
  • 2-4+ years MSP/VMS experience or comparable industry experience
  • College Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience onboarding vendors and navigating contract negotiations
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and demonstrated proficiency
