Description General Summary: Hitachi Astemo’s Cost Management department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Cost Analyst. This person will be a self-starter who takes the initiative to improve their own skills and the organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide analysis and leadership to improve data reporting/transparency, efficiency, and cost controls. This position will report to the Manager of Cost Management and will work with multiple levels of the organization to provide analysis and planning. Responsibilities: Profit by Product Report & Analysis Management:

Ability to manage multiple business units and product P&L’s. Develop and prepare monthly reporting for financial data users. Analyze prior results and work with business unit teams to create accurate monthly forecasts. Support internal review meetings by presenting monthly results and forecasts to business unit teams. Create gap analysis to measure actual performance against budget and forecasts.

Budget Planning and Analysis:

Lead the preparation and review of the annual operating budget, including supporting Finance & Accounting and Operations Departments with a focus on target setting.

Cost Accounting:

Establish new standard cost rates annually. Identify standard costing gaps to actual costs.

Support the implementation of a new ERP & Financial Reporting system/software, as needed. Strong participation and support of Cross Function Teams. Assist with other projects as needed. Qualifications

: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate or above), especially Excel. Progressive experience in Corporate or Manufacturing Accounting or equivalent. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to customers and all levels of management. The ideal candidate will have: Advanced level proficiency in knowledge of cost accounting and cost management (examples include standard costing, production productivity, forecasting, gap analysis). Budget management experience. Prior experience with analytical tools. ERP implementation / transition experience. Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. Experience :

3-5 years’

experience in Accounting/Finance; Cost Accounting, or fields related to Product Manufacturing. Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities. Supervisory Responsibilities:
