In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the clients of the company and communicate on multiple projects. Your primary responsibilities will be accurate cost estimates, research products, preparing reports, project management functions, monitoring forecasts, and conducting risk assessments.

To thrive in this role, you must have commercial construction estimating experience, working knowledge of masonry repairs and restoration, excellent communication, understanding of time management, and details

Write correspondence letters compile submittal information, review shop drawings, mix designs, and all other necessary documents so that the project can begin and function properly. Coordinate project handoff process. Reevaluate the project before work begins Take part in branch operations meetings Coordinate project progress and ensure accurate monthly projections Take part in performance dialogues and meetings Assist in scheduling. Notify subcontractors and suppliers of anticipated start and delivery needs. Schedule Pre-job meetings and progress meetings both internally and with the owner. Assist and support the Superintendent and Foremen as needed. Review job quantities, approve invoices, and subcontractor payments, prepare extra work change orders, and monitor job costs. Review, tabulate, and negotiate final quantity agreements with owner and/or Prime contractor to ensure 100% payment for all work performed. Review monthly account receivables and cash aging reports. Performs other job-related responsibilities and special projects as requested.

Scott Labat of Distinctive Staffing Solutions has been in the staffing business most of his career. He started with staffing when he was opening restaurants across the country. Scott enjoyed the hiring process and staffing the locations. He left that business to continue his passion for staffing and went to work for an IT recruiting firm placing full-time resources, working with both clients and candidates. In his career he has worked with full-time staffing firms, project based consulting firms and national contingent staffing companies.

We have all worked with consulting/staffing firms that have a process in place and will do what ever it takes to make their clients accept these processes. DSS understands that client success is wrapped around understanding their processes and procedures and working together to find a solution to their staffing/project needs. DSS is not in the business of making our clients change their internal processes to fit our needs. We listen to our consultants and candidates to understand what they are looking for in their career. It is important that we understand what is ideal for them and when we are working on the opportunity we can present that to them. We strive to make every placement a success for our resources as well as the clients. We want to make sure that our internal staff is also happy, without our internal team we have nothing. We are not an organization that is metrics driven, we have all worked with metrics driven organizations. You need to make a certain amount of calls/submittals/meetings each day/week/month. This is great if you are a machine but we all know that we are not. What makes DSS successful is the personalization that we strive for. We strive for one thing, making great placements with our trusted clients. You can't do that if you are forcing metrics, this causes actions that are not in the best interest of the candidate or our clients, this is not the targeted production that DSS wants.

We want to make sure that every action that is taken in our organization is focused on a mututally successful placement, not meeting a quota.
