The position will entail creating and issuing construction drawings and specifications, studies, and reports, as well as, being able to demonstrate good working design knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, prime and standby generation, low and medium voltage motor control centers, low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage substations, and UPS systems. Applicant should have knowledge and experience with the NEC, NFPA, ICC, UFC, energy codes, and applicable IEEE codes and standards. Experience with modeling electrical systems and performing power system studies using ETAP, PTW, or EasyPower is strongly preferred. Strong team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication skills, presentation skills, motivation, positive attitude, and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently will be core roles for this person. The applicant will interface directly with internal and external clients and will demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints. An understanding of how relationships with clients on the Hawaiian Islands differ from client relationships on the US mainland is critical to this position. This position will be responsible for maintaining current long-term client relationships as well as seeking out and developing relationships with new clients on the Hawaiian Islands, the US Mainland, and abroad.
