Prepare and serve weekly lunches Prepare and serve food for special events as needed Restock hospitality items (coffee, snacks) as needed for drop-in Ensure kitchen is clean, sanitized, and orderly at the end of the working day Work alongside kitchen volunteers, as assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator, assisting in meal preparation and service Keep inventory of kitchen supplies and report needs to Food and Nutrition Manager Maintain refrigerator and food items in accordance with Servsafe guidelines and mark food items with dates for tracking/expiration Track food donations for lunches and meals distributed daily In collaboration with the custodian and volunteers, perform monthly (at minimum) deep clean of kitchen supplies and equipment Skills and Qualifications: Prior experience is not required but recommended Must maintain current Servsafe food handlers training and certification Must be physically able to lift, lower, or pull objects up to 50 pounds unassisted. Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and directions. Must be able to maintain good customer relations with our guests, volunteers, and co-workers in a team environment.
