**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

* Forecasts goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.

* Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of automotive salespeople.

* Plan and implement objectives for achieving sales and profit goals

* Understand, keep abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.

* Meet daily with the sales team to review forecasts and profits. Assist individual salespeople in setting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives and provide them with the support to meet these goals.

* Ensure proper follow-up of all potential buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a prospecting and sales system. Develop, implement and monitor a follow-up system for vehicle purchasers.

* Work directly with the leadership on making recommendations on both short and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, and attend to customer concerns, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained.

* Develop incentive programs along with dealer and other managers.

* Establish and maintain standards for the delivery of vehicles to customers.

* Ensure that appropriate dealership records are maintained.

* Coordinate the appropriate supply of products, and ordering/acquiring related inventory accordingly.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

* Strong business maturity, professionalism, interpersonal, management leadership, analytical, and relationship building skills.

* Strong demonstrated leadership and organizational skills

* Demonstrated ability to manage people.

* Demonstrated ability to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.

* Understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect operations, while also complying with these regulations.

* Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees, and vendors, as they represent the dealership.

* Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:**

* High school diploma or the equivalent is required; bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or retail sales is preferred.

* State-specific Motor Vehicle Salesperson License

* A strong background in business, mathematics, and computers

* 5+ years experience in related field

* Minimum two years in a dealership sales environment.

* Valid Drivers License

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

* Walking, standing, sitting, listening, and talking on a wide variety and continual basis

* Movement generally throughout the facility areas required on a continual basis

* Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

* Ability to stand for long periods of time

* Able to operate motor vehicles to meet possible travel requirement

* Often must work extended hours, evenings, and weekends to achieve goals.
