General Liability Claims Adjuster & Technical Specialist

who possesses the following claims management credentials:

Five plus (5+) years of advanced claims management technical expertise Significant understanding of complex coverages Strong litigation background The chosen candidate will be expected to meet the following requirements to succeed in this role: Efficiently manage a rolling file inventory of 130 active, mixed claim files. Consistently achieve an individual file audit score of 90% or higher on periodic carrier/internal file audits. Maintain a “one-to-one claim-closing ratio” once full-diary is realized. Develop and apply an advanced level of effective file and litigation strategies. This Senior Claims Adjuster position will

primarily provide claims service for higher-value, litigated General Liability risks and is responsible for successfully managing the day-to-day activities from a claim's inception through conclusion. Our Adjusters serve as the primary liaison between American Specialty, the Insurance Carrier, the Insured and the Claimant. Liaison duties include managing effective and timely communication between all parties and maintaining an accurate, up-to-date claim file diary documenting all required servicing-related activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & EXPECTATIONS: Formulate accurate coverage opinions and prepare coverage letters. Conduct thorough investigations. Calculate injury/reserve evaluations. Actively create and implement file strategies, management of litigation and appropriate resolution of claims. Attendance at mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences. Provide timely and accurate communication with all parties involved in the management/ overview of files. Utilize well-developed technical expertise to accurately interpret complex coverages. Seek out opportunities for risk transference. REQUIRED CREDENTIALS & SKILLS: Five or more years of advanced general liability claims management and litigation experience. Hold active Adjuster licenses in all states (or acquire licensure in all states within six months of hire). Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word programs and ability to adapt quickly to proprietary internal programs. Ability and discipline to adhere to carrier claim handling guidelines and internal claims management protocols. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and balance heavy workloads when needed. Ability and discipline to work independently but thrive in a team setting. Ability to effectively work with and alongside people at all levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions outlined above. WORK LOCATION OPTIONS: Once the required training objectives and knowledge standards have been achieved, this senior level position will have the option to perform this role 100% remotely, or local teammates have the additional options of utilizing a 3/2 hybrid schedule between office and home or working 100% onsite within our office environment.
