Vaco Finance is seeking a Controller with Commercial Real Estate industry experience to lead our client's Property Accounting Department. The Controller will manage each aspect of Property Accounting. Specifically, you will manage a small team that is responsible for CAM Recs, Cash Flow, Annual Budget, Tax, and heavy Analysis. Yardi software is key to this role. Their office is located near Wayne, NJ and the role is HYBRID Please apply within.

Controller - Commercial REIT
Location: near Wayne, NJ (Hybrid)
Salary: approx. $170-210k + Bonus

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a Small Team
  • Manage REIT Administration Processes for a Commercial Portfolio
  • Manage Property Accounting including:
    • Cam Recs
    • Annual Budget and Reforecasts
    • Cash Flows
    • Debt, Sales, and Insurance Analysis
  • Perform 1031 Exchange Analysis - sale of property and reinvesting
  • Perform Tax Filings with outside consultants
Skills Needed:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 7-10 yrs. of Commercial Real Estate Experience
  • Yardi Software experience, required
  • Advanced Excel experience (pivot + vlookups)
  • Managed Experience, required
  • CPA's preferred
