Job Description Job Description This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join Elbit America’s Electronics Systems Division. The Mechanical Engineering will work on advanced programs, providing unique and technically advanced engineering development products to the US Government. You will be the technical lead for a group of 4+ mechanical engineers and design drafters on cutting edge engineering development programs. Projects include handheld targeting systems, thermal imaging systems, and augmented reality head worn systems, all which are development projects for the warfighter. You will be the interface to the program for mechanical engineering, providing key architecture design decisions and vision for the technical team. Leadership Qualifications and Responsibilities Lead your technical team and drive high level architectural decisions. Ownership and accountability for the mechanical engineering team’s technical work. Provide clear direction and task prioritization that align with program commitments and schedule. Hold weekly team meetings to status issues, concerns, work priorities, and tasks. Review technical designs, mechanical drawings, and analyses conducted by the team. Participate in program IPT meetings and status mechanical engineering tasks. Identify risks and opportunities to the program related to the hardware architecture. Participate in program proposals and BOE’s Support your assigned programs through a hybrid work schedule, 3+ days a week onsite.
