Job Description

Regions Hospital is looking for a clinical pharmacist to provide pharmacy services primarily in the sterile products area. Pharmacists at Regions Hospital provide professional pharmaceutical services by reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information and education to healthcare providers and patients/families, precepting pharmacy students and residents, reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, overseeing the work of direct support personnel, and participating in quality and safety improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have good initiative, good triaging skills, and be able to work with independence.

Established in 1872, Regions Hospital is a private, not-for-profit organization. The hospital provides health care services for Saint Paul and its surrounding communities, as well as for patients who come from greater Minnesota, Western Wisconsin and other Midwestern states. Regions Hospital is part of the HealthPartners family of care.

Work Schedule:
  • 7 on/7 off, evening/night shift, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
  • One year of current experience in inpatient dispensing and IV preparation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one of the following:
    • Completion of a Post-Doctorate Pharmacy Program (i.e., residency or fellowship such as a PGY-1 or PGY-2 ASHP-accredited pharmacy program) OR
    • Current board certification such as Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) OR
    • Three years of current experience in inpatient or IV dispensing.

Additional Information:

This is a union 0.96 FTE (76.8 hours per pay period) evening/night shift position, 7 on/7 off, including every other weekend and holiday rotation, working in Saint Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $71.95-$81.94 per hour, based on experience. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
