Claims Quality Auditor Specialist

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Claims Quality Auditor Specialist located in our Raleigh, North Carolina office.

Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule. This role will be required to work from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

This position is responsible for working collaboratively with business partners to ensure compliance with IAT Best Practices and continuously supporting the improvement of the technical quality of claims handling and measuring compliance through the completion of quality reviews. Furthermore, this role works closely with claims management to analyze and communicate findings, recommend solutions and assist with training.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts claim technical quality audits of property, transportation, and casualty insurance claims.
  • Performs a thorough analysis of quality audit results to report opportunity areas to management.
  • Utilizes audit software to provide feedback and observations.
  • Makes recommendations to improve quality, workflow processes, policies and procedures.
  • Completes written, oral and PowerPoint presentations to share the QA results.
  • Participates in collaborative training with the Line of Business on technical claims content.
  • Assists in the enhancement of Best Practice Guidelines.
  • Conducts secondary audits to ensure calibration within the claim teams and QA.
  • Assist with special projects and focus audits as required.
  • Stays current within respective fields of expertise.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:

Must have:
  • Bachelors' degree in related field and 5+ years of experience in General Liability, Property, Transportation and Auto Claims handling or equivalent.
  • Equivalent is defined as 7 years of relevant experience as defined above.
  • Multiple jurisdiction claims handling experience.
  • Expertise and knowledge of Property (Personal and Commercial), Casualty, Auto (Physical Damage/Bodily Injury), Transportation claims.
  • Knowledge of the Insurance Industry and Claims Handling.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collect, dissect and analyze complex data sets.
  • Ability to excel independently and in a team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.
