SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to assist the IE Senior Manager of Engineering while providing technical guidance and support to operations to maintain optimal performance and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities include: Report to Senior Manager of Engineering; assist Plant Industrial Engineers; support maintaining of Tyson Foods labor standards and performance reporting systems; assist in analyzing systems and developing performance metrics and effective controls; assist and work with other managers, departments and engineers on implementing process improvement and innovation; assist with product costing; any other tasks as deemed appropriate for the successful performance of Tyson Foods, Inc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS in Industrial Engineering or other technical degree combined with applicable industry experience.
Experience: 5 plus years of Industrial Engineering experience or TYSON Industrial Engineering experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Knowledge and use of computer programs, spreadsheet, database and scheduling programs required.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills required.
Special Skills: Possess a good working knowledge of operations, systems and process controls, continuous improvement, demonstrated ability to manage complex projects; demonstrated ability to develop process control and optimization systems; proven ability to analyze processes and recommend quality and effective corrective actions for optimal performance.
Supervisory: No direct supervision but will support I.E. Senior Manager of Engineering.
Travel: 25%+
