Assistant Plant Controller

Position Title:Assistant Plant ControllerReports to:Plant ContollerWork Location:Spartanburg, SC FacilityWe have an exciting opportunity for a problem solver, a change agent who is excited about taking Motus to the NEXT level.The Assistant Controller will be responsible for daily and monthly accounting tasks.RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Plant Accounting with month-end and weekly close tasksAnnual audit requirementsReporting monthly results to Corporate.Desirable experience working with SOX or any other compliance system.Annual and Midyear budgeting processWeekly tracking to budget and forecastAR tracking and follow upAP tracking and follow upPrepare weekly and monthly banks reconciliationMonthly Subledger reconciliation vs GLPrepare monthly report data for corporate and the management teamPrepare Balance Sheet reconciliationsPerform global intercompany accounting and reconciliationAssist in special projects as neededFixed Assets reconciliationTracking the budget of Capital ExpenseREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of applicable experience a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organization and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordExperience with PLEX, SAP, Oracle, or any ERP.Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlinesCapable of taking on new, challenging tasks with limited guidanceStrong problem-solving skillsHighly flexibleAbility to work and take direction from Team Members at all levels of the organization.KEY COMPETENCIESIntellectual Competencies:Intelligence - Ability to acquire understanding and absorb information rapidly.
