This candidate will be responsible for processing real estate loan closing paperwork for pre and post-close in a Real Estate Law office. Primary functions include preparing packages for signature, funding, shipping to lenders, and assisting real estate closers and attorneys. Skills:

  • Attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Strong task management skills
  • High proficiency with office equipment including computers, copiers, printers, and scanners
  • High proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office, email, web browsers, windows or Macintosh filing systems
  • Knowledge of real estate industry either through training or on the job experience
  • Ability to prepare large volume of overnight deliveries and ensure packages are correctly enveloped
  • Ability to communicate quickly and effectively with internal or external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery or processing of information and documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Work directly with the public via phone or electronic communication
  • Notary Public (or ability to become one immediately after hire)
  • Make independent judgments regarding routine information

Requirements:

  • Ability to type, work with computers, and be mobile through a variety of work stations throughout the day
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry 25 pounds
  • Speak, hear, see, bend, stoop, reach, lift and move
  • Finger dexterity
  • Accurate typing in excess of 45 WPM

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Ensure accuracy of data entered into closing Systems and files
  • Scan closing documentation after closing, file documents electronically, and sort documents based on type or further processing requirements
  • Send funding documentation to lenders and communicate funding needs quickly to necessary parties to ensure timely funding of loans
  • Communicate with closing stakeholders to gather and clarify needed information; obtain signatures; assist in moving file to closing
  • Prepare and track overnight deliveries using a variety of software packages
  • Independently schedule sellers to execute required closing documents
  • Deliver documentation to other parties for further processing
  • Ensure payoff checks, payoff letters, equity line closure letters are accurately and timely sent to payoff sources
  • Ensure final title insurance documentation is delivered to final title processor with check for final title processing
  • Depending on assignment, prepares final title opinions for review and signature by Attorney
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by Real Estate Loan Closer or Attorney
