Overview:

Schedule: The normal duty schedule is either 0700-1600 or 0730-1630 Monday-Friday or Flex shifts. Flex shifts are utilized to
support mission requirements not Contactor preference and must be approved by the Government Supervisor and the
COR. Flex shifts can consist of 8, 9, or 10 hour shifts and will not exceed 80 hours in a two week pay period. Schedule
changes shall be published by the Government Supervisor two weeks prior to implementation of the new shift.

Responsibilities:

? Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement
of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
? Assist Case Manager in prepping and teaching the Pain Management Group Class.
? Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and
guidelines used in the MTF.

? Perform support duties in pain management for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures,
which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing, and handling specialized
instruments or other specialized equipment and monitoring the patients condition before, during, and following the
procedure
? Perform physical exam and health histories.
? Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
? Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
? Clinically direct care provided by other healthcare professionals.
? Screen, schedule and check-in patients and escort patients to treatment areas as well as take, monitor and record
physiological measurements. Screen patients at the reception desk for eligibility and verifies appointments with the
appropriate health care provider along with book, schedule and notify patients for follow-up as required.
? Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned
personnel.
? Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
? Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team
of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
? Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
? Perform nursing services identified in the TO.
? Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

? Degree/Education (5.2.4): Associates Degree of Nursing, Graduate from a college or university accredited by
Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
(CCNE) or as otherwise identified in the TO.
? Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): None
? Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): None
? Experience: One year of experience in nursing as identified in the TO after graduation.
? Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as
required in the TO.
