Grants and Contracts Coordinator College of Education and Human Development University of Maine Job Purpose The Grants and Contracts Coordinator is responsible for providing financial and administrative support for College-wide research infrastructure, managing budgets for College-wide and/or CARES accounts, and facilitating the grant application process by developing templates, identifying opportunities, and coordinating with research agency personnel. Typical hiring range for this soft-money funded position is $33,653 to $55,947 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma and five years prior experience in an office setting or bachelor’s degree and one year prior experience in an office setting - Prior experience in administrative bookkeeping - Experience with completing large, web-based forms - Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in addition to evidence of ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet firm deadlines - Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record of teamwork, customer service, and professionalism - Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer fluency Preferred: - Experience in a university-based research setting - Working knowledge of University of Maine System accounting practices, policies, and procedures including those related to travel and purchasing - Experience working with PeopleSoft financial systems - Experience in grants and budget management
