- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the tax team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax planning and compliance services.
- Review and approve intricate tax returns, providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
- Serve as an internal and external thought leader on complex tax matters, advising both clients and team members.
- Assume full responsibility for managing significant client engagements, delegating tasks effectively to team members.
- Mentor and develop tax staff, supporting professional growth and enhancing the team's capabilities.
- Represent clients before tax authorities, managing audits and other examinations.
- Stay updated on economic, political, and tax-related trends that could impact clients, providing proactive advice.
- Drive business development through industry involvement and strategic networking.
- Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives for the tax department.
- 10-15 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax services with a focus on complex tax issues.
- Proven experience with C and S corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
- Active CPA license in good standing with the AICPA.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
- Exceptional client service, communication, and analytical skills.
