HR Generalist

DIRECT HIRE

Salary: $70-75k

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting, and onboarding. This role is essential in supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

Process payroll accurately and on time.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.

Benefits Administration:

Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other perks.

Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing support to employees regarding benefits questions and claims.

Liaise with benefits providers to manage enrollments, changes, and terminations.

Recruiting:

Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.

Develop and post job descriptions on various job boards and social media platforms.

Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and manage the candidate selection process.

Coordinate with third-party recruiters as necessary.

Onboarding:

Conduct new hire orientations to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

Prepare and process all necessary documentation for new hires.

Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.

Employee Relations:

Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues.

Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Assist in resolving employee conflicts and provide guidance on HR-related matters.

HR Administration:

Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS.

Generate HR reports and provide analysis to support decision-making.

Assist with the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with a focus on payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, and onboarding.

Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar).

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
