If you believe you possess these important traits, please consider a career with the Cleveland Guardians.The Guardians are looking for service minded teammates, who are committed to working together to help us create amazing memories for fans, each other and all visitors to Progressive Field.PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist in driving sales and overseeing the general operations of designated retail locations within Progressive Field, all while actively promoting a positive image of the Cleveland Guardians in every fan interaction.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Selling/Fan SatisfactionDeliver outstanding customer service by employing the START and HEART service model, incorporating suggestive selling techniquesUphold the "Image of Champions" to maximize sales potential and ensure fan satisfactionStrive towards achieving daily sales targets at both an individual and location levelMaintain a consistently positive attitude in the workplace, aligning with the best interests of the businessEngage in training sessions focused on fan-centric customer service while actively promoting a positive image of the Cleveland Guardians organizationMerchandisingCollaborate with the Supervisor to ensure that the location adheres to company visual merchandising standardsCoordinate with the Supervisor to organize backstock and storage rooms according to company guidelines.Communicate merchandise needs and ideas to management and buying teamOperations/Loss PreventionSupport the daily maintenance and smooth operation of assigned locationParticipate in training sessions to proficiently operate POS systemsAdhere to all loss prevention standards established by the Ballpark Retail management team to safeguard company assetsPromptly report any violations of loss prevention policies to the Retail Ballpark management teamPartner with the Supervisor to ensure the timely completion of shipments, accurate cycle counts, and successful execution of all business initiatives for the assigned locationActively participates in all communication channels regarding policies, procedures, and other relevant informationDemonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all standards and the ability to manage the location in the absence of the SupervisorAssume additional responsibilities as directed by Retail Ballpark management teamROLE REQUIREMENTS:Previous sales, customer service, and or register experience preferredCapability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and liftMust be at least 16 years oldDemonstrated ability to adhere to all organizational Health & Safety protocolsAVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:Available to work a minimum of 55 out of 81 home games (65%) during the months of April through OctoberAvailable to work 100% of Jewel Events and Post Season GamesWork entire assigned shift, this includes but not limited to pre-events, post events, and rain delaysWork long and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and all holidays during the baseball seasonAttend all required trainings and daily briefings, as directedORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Reads, speaks, comprehends, and communicates English effectively in all communications.Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public.Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Front Office.Ability to act according to the organizational values and service excellence at all times.Ability to work with diverse populations and have a demonstrated commitment to social justice.Ability to walk, sit or stand for an entire shift.Ability to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends.Ability to move throughout all areas and levels of the Ballpark.Ability to work in a diverse and changing environment.Occasional physical activity such as lifting and carrying boxes up to 55 lbs.The Cleveland Guardians are committed to developing and maintaining an environment that embraces all forms of diversity to enrich our core values, enhance our competitive position, strengthen our impact within our community, and foster a greater sense of belonging for our employees.In this spirit, we know studies have shown that people from historically underserved groups - including women and people of color - are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every one of the qualifications as described in a job description.
