Clayton Technology is undertaking a major, multi-year initiative to modernize, simplify and strengthen our core infrastructure, ultimately impacting or replacing most of our systems. As a Director of VMF Technology, you will be accountable for the technology strategy, vendor evaluation, selection, negotiation, program development, execution, and support of several of these programs including the eventual migration of our custom built on-prem legacy loan servicing platform and adjacent applications to a combination of SAS based and cloud native technology stacks. In addition, you will have responsibilities to contribute to and lead portions of the overall Clayton Technology strategy and maturity.

About the Role:

The Director of VMF Technology will work both with our VMF CFO, Vice Presidents and broader leadership team to influence and execute on the VMF loan servicing and accounting strategic goals and initiatives as well as our Technology Vice Presidents, Directors and broader leadership team to influence and execute our overarching enterprise technology program plan and schedule, assemble and manage project teams, identify and resolve project risks and issues, and communicate progress and status to the Accountable Executive Leadership Team.

Responsibilities: Accountable for the strategy, planning, implementation and support of mortgage servicing and accounting technology platforms with annual budget responsibilities in excess of $10M. Lead multiple teams of portfolio managers, project managers, product owners, business analysts, system analysts, software engineers, quality assurance and quality engineering resources and their leadership in the delivery of business-critical technology services. Implementation of highly visible, sensitive and multi-faceted projects and programs that may span multiple years with budgets that exceed $10M. Ensures portfolio of projects are delivered within scope, schedule, budget and quality levels consistent with customer expectations. Recruit, lead, manage and develop a team managers and senior managers with a full team member and 3rd party contractor responsibility of 50+ individuals spanning onsite, offsite and offshore locations. Partner with other technology departments to jointly plan, develop and deliver on shared service capabilities such as customer digital experience, customer relationship management, technology infrastructure, finance, HR, and end user support services Build strong relationships and deep knowledge and expertise of our VMF and related business. Contribute to the development, planning and delivery of VMF Business strategic goals and initiatives including leading efforts that stretch beyond direct technology accountabilities. Contribute to overall Clayton Technology Strategy and maturity efforts including owning cross department unit processes and projects. Build strong relationships across all Clayton Technology leadership and departments.

Qualifications: 10+ years leadership experience with 5+ years within technology leadership Previous experience within the mortgage servicing industry with a strong preference for mortgage servicing platform conversion experience as well as exposure to general accounting practices related to mortgage servicing Successful track record of delivering technology projects of very high complexity Must understand concepts of agile software development methods, the underlying principles that govern them and how multi-year program delivery works in concert with Agile Strong analytical skills. Utilize root cause and impact analysis, interviews, focus groups, and other data gathering techniques proficiently Must possess strong written and oral communications skills Employ Project Management techniques, tools and methods proficiently.
