Join LCMC Health, and you'll find that our everyday makes it easy to live your extraordinary.Essential Functions: The Music Therapist is responsible for providing direct services for neonates, infants, toddlers, school age children, adolescents, young adults and their families by using music to help attain and maintain their maximum levels of functioning in the areas of physical, cognitive, communication and social/emotional health. Assists with treatment and program planning designed to promote family centered care and education, to reduce distress, increase coping, provide normalization, improve functional skills, promote social interaction and support developmental integrity through music and play experiences.Job Qualifications: Experience- 2 years of experience Clinical- pediatric healthcare (CHNOLA)Education- Required: Bachelor's Degree Music Therapy (CHNOLA); Preferred: Master's Degree Music TherapyCertifications/licenses- BLS through the American Heart Association, Registered Music Therapy, Music Therapy Board CertificationThe above job summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.
