The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Sports Medicine & Rehab patients

The role youll contribute:

When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patientsin the Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, cliniciansand staffwilling to carry on AdventHealths mission in the communities we serve.

Leads the business office team in ensuring patient demographics and account information are appropriate for patient account type, upfront collection goals are met or exceeded, benefit eligibility and insurance authorization are accurate and complete, and treatment plan of care is administratively managed appropriately and timely. Assists in maintaining center productivity by adjusting and consolidating patient schedules. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

The value youll bring to the team:

  • Registers patients for all services, ensuring patient demographics and account information is appropriate for patient account type as determined by patients visit and as directed by Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Leadership. Responsible for clearly explaining authorizations/pre-certifications, and/or benefit memos on patient accounts to ensure expeditious billing and to protect the financial standing of the facility
  • Ensures team's success in meeting or exceeding upfront collection goals by providing encouragement, education and training to motivate team members. Reviews all collection reports timely, as assigned by leadership
  • Monitors status of center's eligibility and benefits verification, re-verification, and insurance authorization applicable to patient's visit, assisting with completion as required. Provides feedback and education to team to ensure that authorizations and pre-certifications are correct and as accurate as possible to avoid rejections and/or denials. Maintains a current and thorough knowledge of utilizing online eligibility and pre-certification tools made available
  • Responsible for Plan of Care administrative tracking and management by ensuring prompt delivery and receipt of Treatment Plan of Care and Status/Discharge Reports to physician's office, insurance companies, Work Comp, and other entities as required. Requests signed prescriptions as needed from physician offices. Monitors audit error reports and updates Medicare accounts with occurrence codes as needed. Responsible for accuracy of patient account tab information
  • Supports business office staff at multiple centers by providing oversight and performing routine audits as directed by the Sports Med and Rehab Leadership

  • High School Grad or Equivalent

Preferred qualifications:

  • BLS Certification
