This is a seasonal Full-time position that we would like to promote into a year-round full-time position for the right candidate. Pest Control Tech is responsible for providing amazing customer service pest remediation and prevention solutions to residential and commercial properties.

We are looking for a Pest Control Technician who is knowledgeable about the different kinds of pests and their habitats and life cycles. (General Pesticide Applicators License is required for this job. We provide paid internship training while learning and will pay for our employees to obtain this license in order to open up growth opportunities in our company.

A Pest Control Technician is responsible for treating customers’ premises for the prevention of general insects, spiders, ants. As well as treatment of higher risk pests such as bedbugs, roaches, termites, snakes and mice. Advising them on possible treatment options and be able to clear the environment from items that could draw pests to the area.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect buildings and the surrounding environment for signs of pest infestation
  • Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
  • Take the required measurement of the area in need of treatment
  • Use different pest control methods such as the setting of traps or baits to remove or kill pests
  • Apply pesticide safely in buildings or structures and the surrounding environment

Requirements and skills

  • Experience as a Pest Control Technician or similar role is a plus however, we offer paid training for the right fit.
  • Must possess physical stamina and be able to withstand harsh conditions
  • Ability to stand for an extended period and work in uncomfortable environments such as attics and crawlspaces.
  • Must be detail oriented and be able to look ahead, as well as follow detailed instructions in applying pesticide to avoid harm to the client and self.
  • Must possess great customer service skills and be customer-focused
  • Communication and Timeliness, Trustworthiness, & Reliability are a must.
  • Strong ability to keep good records of hours worked, chemicals used, and payment collected
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
