Production Controls Manager

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement production control strategies to optimize production processes, minimize downtime, and ensure on-time delivery of products.Coordinate with production planning to prioritize production schedules, taking into account customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.Monitor and analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity and efficiency.Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production requirements.Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and components, while maintaining quality standards.Lead and supervise a team of production control staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's performance and professional development.Implement and maintain production control systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, to streamline production processes and enable real-time monitoring and reporting.Collaborate with logistics to coordinate shipping and delivery of finished products, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.Continuously evaluate and improve production control procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to production control and implement relevant improvements to optimize production operations.SkillsStrong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic production environment.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Proficiency in using production control software and systems, such as ERP systems and inventory management tools.Knowledge of production planning and scheduling techniques, with the ability to optimize production capacity and meet customer demands.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management principles.Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data analysis.Flexibility and adaptability to changing production demands and priorities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. A relevant combination of education and experience will also be considered.Proven experience in production control or related roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management position.In-depth knowledge of production control principles, techniques, and best practices.Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.Proficiency in using production control software and systems.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Professional certifications in production control, such as APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), are preferred but not required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional language proficiency is a plus.Bilingual in Korean and English
