Job Description

We are seeking a CPA to join our team in West Chester, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and overseeing a range of financial activities, including sales and use tax preparation. In this role, you will have the responsibility of supporting month/year end close, reconciling and analyzing balance sheets and completing various financial reports.

Responsibilities
  • Reconciling accounts monthly for accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards
  • Assisting with the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws and regulations
  • This role involves preparing and filing state / sales tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing guidance on tax-related matters
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the accounting team
  • Research and analyze tax issues and provide recommendations to management
  • Assisting with external audits and tax filings
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in sales and use tax laws and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA certification
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Experience with project based accounting is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience filing state / sales and use tax returns
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience with Thomas Reuters OneSource tax software or other tax software preferred
