Overview:

Finance Lead Budapest manufacturing site, Performance Carbon Division, Hungary

Are you an experienced finance professional ready to support our Budapest site's accounting, analysis, reporting, and control activities? You will oversee accounting operations, ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining the integrity of our financial processes. Your contributions will be vital in monthly and year-end closing activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for the manufacturing site in Hungary.

Responsibilities:

What Youll Do:

  • Prepare and issue timely monthly and annual financial reports for internal and corporate use, supporting the monthly forecast.
  • Oversee finance activities, including cost accounting, accounts payable, and potentially payroll.
  • Prepare or review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and documentation to comply with financial regulations and group policies.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors, supporting audit processes and providing necessary records.
  • Support the annual budget preparation and reporting, developing tools for future use.
  • Coordinate with the controller to ensure legal/statutory compliance and tax efficiency.
  • Prepare or ensure the preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies.


Qualifications:

What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience in financial reporting and control, ideally within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Hungarian tax rules, GAAP, and exposure to IFRS.
  • Exposure to SOX compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with JD Edwards or any other ERP system.
  • Fluent in Hungarian and proficient in English.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to advise on finance and control matters.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
