In this dual job role, you will be supporting adults with disabilities and their families as well as teaching invaluable independent living skills to clients in their homes.About Us: PathPoint is a non-profit dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and young adults in living the life they choose. Through strengthening workplace abilities, developing essential life skills, and fostering meaningful relationships, we serve communities in Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.Coordinated Family Support Program: CFS offers specialized support for adults with developmental disabilities residing in their family homes. Our services are tailored and flexible, catering to the unique needs of each individual and their family or caregiver. As a Family Support Specialist, you'll provide essential guidance, advocacy, and assistance with community resources. Your responsibilities will include conducting weekly home visits to understand the specific needs and challenges of each family. Collaborating with both the family and the CFS team, you'll develop and implement practical, long-term strategies and short-term objectives.Independent Living Program: In this role, you'll teach independent living skills to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. This could include cooking and grocery shopping, healthy living and exercise, budgeting and money management, scheduling and attending medical appointments, or other skills depending on the individual's personal goals. You may also have the opportunity to share your personal hobbies with the individuals you are supporting.Schedule: Up to 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Friday. Variable schedule based on client's availability, may include evenings and weekends.Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour.
