Overview

Hiring for a motivated Senior Network Systems Engineer to join our team This role involves designing, implementing, and managing IT projects to enhance, stabilize, and scale our clients' technology infrastructure. Your expertise will drive innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence. This position is predominantly remote with occasional on-site in Charlotte, NC The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure networking, VLAN configuration, SD-WAN deployment, VPN technologies, and extensive experience with Cisco routers/switches and Fortinet firewalls. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining their network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance, availability, and security.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Design:

Collaborate with teams to understand project requirements. Develop project plans, including scope, timeline, and budget. Design practical solutions aligned with business needs. Deploy and configure hardware, software, and network components. Integrate new solutions smoothly into existing IT environments. Perform system upgrades, migrations, and expansions. Design, implement, and maintain Azure networking solutions, including Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, Azure ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.

Technical Documentation:

Create detailed technical documentation. Maintain accurate project records. Provide documentation for end-users and support teams.

Security and Compliance:

Implement security measures and best practices. Configure/ maintain Fortinet Firewalls Ensure project solutions comply with industry standards and regulations.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Troubleshoot system malfunctions to minimize downtime and impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of experience with a focus on Azure Networking Experience with VLAN, SDWAN, VPN technologies, Microsoft heavy, Cisco R+S, Fortinet firewalls Proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer with successful IT project delivery. Proficient in systems administration, network protocols, hardware configuration, and software deployment. Strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud platforms, and containerization. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices. Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, CCNP) are a plus.
