Description

PRYER Aerospace is hiring a Buyer. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the assembly and fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.

POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for managing the purchase of raw materials, hardware, production supplies and services to support aerospace manufacturing. In addition this role fosters positive Vendor/Supplier relationships ensuring cost effectiveness in procurement and contributing to overall supply chain efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Orders production materials, hardware and production supplies to ERP/MRP or other organizational demand according to company guidelines.
  • Coordinates changes to purchase orders as required based on internal or external requirements.
  • Monitors and manages all assigned purchase order deliveries and maintains latest supplier commitments within the ERP system.
  • Coordinates timely with Supplier and internal departments to address receiving, invoicing and paperwork issues through resolution.
  • Monitors and manages supplier lead times and ensures they are maintained in ERP.
  • Supports the identification and development of new suppliers to reduce cost, improve cycle time and/or enhance overall service.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • One-Two (1-2) years experience related to purchasing/procurement.
  • Previous experience with material requirements planning.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent decision-making and negotiating skills
  • Ability to accurately interpret detailed instructions

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft Office
