Description
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather necessary information.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
- Prepare and present estimates to management and clients.
- Conduct site visits to understand the scope and challenges of projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, construction methodologies, and materials costs.
- Review and update cost databases and estimation tools.
- Ensure estimates align with company objectives and client requirements.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a commercial estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
