Job Summary
The Water Purification Product Engineer will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the R&D and export departments to develop, improve, and promote water products tailored for the US market. This role demands learning industry trends, competitor dynamics, and US-specific product certifications like NSF/ANSI standards. The product engineer will also provide essential technical support and training to the sales team, ensuring products align with market demands and regulatory standards. A background in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Engineering, combined with strong project management skills, is crucial for success in this position.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the R&D department to develop and improve products to meet market demands and technological advancements.
- Continuously research and analyze the US market to understand industry trends, competitor dynamics, and customer needs.
- Assist in planning the companys water product line (purification, drinking, soft water) for the US market.
- Organize product field tests across the country to get rapid feedback about potential product improvements and quality concerns.
- Conduct competitive teardowns and analyze relative product performance.
- Work with third-party agencies to complete necessary certifications relevant to the US market (such as NSF/ANSI standards).
- Ensure products comply with all federal regulations such as the SDWA and EPA FIFRA labelling requirements.
- Assist in developing and editing product documentation including installation guides and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and training to help the sales team and customers better understand and use our products.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields is required. Masters degree will be a plus.
- Possess excellent project management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the drinking water purification industry or experience with certifying consumer products is a plus.
- Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills (at a local level); able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
