Role

The Financial Analyst I (FA I) will be responsible for performing high quality and accurate financial reporting, operational analysis, and financial modeling. Examples include preparation of annual budgets, operational performance analysis, peer benchmarking, and scenario modeling. The FA will be responsible for conducting and documenting recurring and ad hoc financial analysis for assigned business unit. This person will be required to breakdown complex business problems and summarize their findings into simple business stories. Ability to work independently, seek answers, and learn and be curious are crucial.

Responsibilities

Analysis of financial statements and reports, including budget to actual variance analysis, identifying trends and anomalies. Interpret the contents of financial statements and reports. Must be able to point out and correct errors, faulty assumptions. Reconcile and summarize data from multiple sources. Assist in preparation and maintain in-depth analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting of financial and business performance. Maintain data fidelity in our financial databases. Assist in capital spend analysis, providing detailed budget performance for Executives.

Expectations

Partner with key stakeholders to deliver general financial analysis providing insight to the business. Work with counterparts to provide financial information and analysis. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail. A constant example of modeling Crown’s B3 values.

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience/Minimum Requirements

0-3 years of experience in broad accounting or finance. Understand, apply, and interpret financial & accounting concepts. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
