Job Duties and Responsibilities Management • Recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees • Develop short and long term goals for staff • Improve communication through training and mentoring • Establish work priorities • Create a culture of strong performance and high productivity. • Ensure services are informed and updated on new or upcoming policies and procedures • Ensure staff understand and adhere to established protocols Training and Development • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized training program for staff • Assure students, interns, residents, staff, and faculty are learning latest techniques, protocols, and procedures • Create a teaching environment that promotes further education and development of staff and students in a safe and welcoming environment • Create standard operating procedures for the use of new equipment and procedures Administrative Duties • Validate and approve employee time in PeopleSoft • Approve leave requests while ensuring service is adequately staffed • Confirms inventory controls are in place and followed to prevent unnecessary overages of purchases • Reviews service budgets for trends and discrepancies and alert Director and Service Chief of any concerns • Work with team to bring creative solutions to the services • Order items to ensure services have appropriate inventory and supplies Nursing Care • Ensure continual delivery of high-quality nursing care • Adopt and implement innovative nursing practices to improve our facility • Provide clinical support when needed Commensurate with experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field (radiology technology or veterinary technology) and four years of experience in diagnostic imaging; or an associate’s degree in a related field and six years of experience in diagnostic imaging.
