Janitor - Fabrication Shop

POSITION SUMMARY: To perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to help up keep the Plant and office sanitary and looking good. To work well in this role, you should have basic maintenance knowledge around building repairs and some experience cleaning.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

• General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Sweep, and mop floors.
• Cleaning restrooms in the Plant
• Cleaning and stock restrooms in the Plant and Office
• Ensure doors are locked after hours.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
• Collect and dispose of trash in the plant and break room
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.

• Ability to manage your time efficiently.
• Work well when supervisors are not present.
• Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other janitorial work.
• Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
• High school diploma.
• Able to use basic cleaning equipment.

• Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
• Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.
• Will be working at times in covered environment or in an outside environment.
• The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Particles.
• The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
• Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed.
