Forklift / Crane Operator Stamping Plant

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operatoremployee's primary function is to effectively and efficiently move goods throughout the plant, and load and unload goods shipping goods while complying with safety, quality, operations and warehousing policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs daily forklift inspection and records on inspection log.
  • Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
  • Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • While safely driving fork-lift, transport materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • This is position is in a manufacturing setting and not a warehouse position.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous working experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing facility
  • Load coils on coil saddle with forklift
  • Integrity and ability to work independently
  • Excellent attendance
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
