As a Credit & Payment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing credit investigations and collecting payments from current customers. This full-time position offers flexibility in scheduling and work arrangements. Key Responsibilities: Credit Analysis: Review and analyze financial and credit information for prospective and existing customers. Assess financial statements to determine appropriate credit lines and set credit limits. Risk Assessment: Conduct both subjective and objective risk evaluations, summarizing findings in detailed written analyses. Ensure credit risk management aligns with company guidelines to mitigate unnecessary risk. Policy & Process Support: Assist in establishing and maintaining credit policies and processes, including bad debt reserves, credit applications, limit changes, and account reviews. Participate in process development to enhance quality and efficiency. CRM Documentation: Use the CRM tool to document account changes and support reporting needs. Manage credit limits for potential and current customers in accordance with corporate fiscal policy. Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of up to $100 million in accounts receivable, meeting targets related to credit risk management and accounts receivable (AR). Customer Interaction: Engage with customers proactively to ensure timely receipt of accounts receivable. Address credit issues, reconcile account ledgers, and work with leadership and sales teams to mitigate risk and prevent bad debt. Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare periodic reports as requested by management. Review collection reports, ascertain the status of collections, and resolve outstanding balances. Process Improvement: Identify and escalate issues to the Team Lead or Credit & Collections Director as needed. Focus on process improvements and adhere to corporate policies and procedures. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Relevant experience in credit and collections management, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment. Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities. Portfolio Management: Ability to manage significant accounts receivable portfolios and achieve individual and team targets, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Customer Focus: Proactive in customer interactions and problem resolution, with a commitment to process improvement and adherence to corporate policies.
